Executive Vice President

Batya Paul serves as the Executive Vice President of Yeshivat Shalshelet.  Batya’s passion for spearheading the inauguration of Yeshivat Shalshelet, alongside Shulamit Roth, comes from her own daughter's language based learning disability diagnosis in 2nd grade.  She attended an educational institution that provided life changing tools and skills, using researched based methodologies, allowing her to achieve great success, as she is currently attending a rigorous mainstream high school and thriving!  Batya has served as an active volunteer since moving to Bergen County 27 years ago.  She served as a founding member of the Yeshivat Noam Board of Directors, and has been actively involved in various committees there since its inception.  Batya has also served as a board member of Congregation Beth Abraham, and is an active and proud member of Congregation Keter Torah.  Batya currently serves as the Treasurer and Executive Board Member of Sharsheret, an international Jewish organization that helps women and their families facing breast cancer.  Additionally, Batya has served as the President of the Frisch Parents Association and member of the Yeshivat Frisch Board of Trustees.

Batya and her husband, Nachman, reside in Bergenfield, NJ, and are the proud parents of Debra and Tal Singer (ages 25), Stevie (age 22), Jonathan (age 16) and Sophia( age 14).
