Dr. Nancy Block’s mission statement throughout her professional life and communal involvement is that the hope for a better tomorrow lies with the younger generation. As a clinical psychologist, she has worked for over 30 years in administrative roles in Yeshiva Day Schools. Nancy has spearheaded numerous community initiatives for Chai Lifeline, Yachad, Friends of the IDF, Yad Vashem, Emunah and Yeshiva University. Nancy was a former board member of several local Yeshivot and continues to sit on the board and be involved in several non-profit organizations that serve the Jewish community.
In her role as the Senior Grade Dean at the Ramaz Upper School, she views community involvement as the vehicle to inspire students to be the face of change and to appreciate that what they do matters.
Nancy is excited to be a part of Shalshelet and to help build a place where all students can feel inspired to be successful learners and be active participants in Klal Yisrael.
Nancy and her husband, Charles, are long-time Teaneck residents and members of Rinat Yisrael.They are the proud parents of 5 children and 15 grandchildren.
